We can't believe that the FWT is over  depressing isn't it?

But Hey let us cheer up with the MEF full report of the FWT Day4 that you will find nowhere else!

Ahmed Talfit

And so it is the closing show, Ahmed Talfit had the honor of opening the show: His collection was so hard to describe and to be put in words, marvelous, unorthodox, scandalous, and breathtaking! Voila!

Ahmed Talfit used a lot of pastels combined with traditional Tunisian broidery, the maxi dresses trend was present in the collection as well as the mini dresses wave, the designer also had some of the pieces layered like in the one the red head model was wearing, he kind of split the dresses into Top and bottom in matter of color, fabric and style, the top could be a corset very lingerie like, or a simple top  but with extravagant epaulettes , it could be pastel (beige or coral) grayish silver or Duke blue, very “on trend” colors and MEF loved the way he played with the colors. As far as the bottom of most of the pieces is concerned Talfit used the layering technique especially at the back accentuating the woman's curves, and he made it longer than the dress, almost a train using tule as an extravagant fabric. Colors were black, silver and beige, and the whole dress was accessorized with glass, yes you didn’t mis-hear, Ahmed Talfit used shattered glass on the dresses, the accessories, the shoes and as veils and tiaras !

Very unusual but we did not come all the way to see the usual, didn’t we? When asked about it, Talfit answered that it was his own way to present the Tunisian Revolution to the world, an homage for Tunisia, for all the shattered glass his land witnessed, all those who gave their life for Tunisians to be where they are now, very emotional , speechless  is how he left us !

The makeup used was a blue smoky very eye cat formed, the lips were totally nude, and the hair was all braided, very Spring/Summer trend. The last female model was eye shocking (in a good way, we love shock when it comes to Fashion) she came half naked wearing only black leather daisy dukes, with the chest accessorized with GLASS! And at that moment I could swear I heard the sounds of the photographers' cameras making a symphony trying their best to catch the most of the model, shockingly amazing! A very Talfitian signature I must say! The last appearance was a male model wearing a black cape like Zorro’s, hanged with the same shattered glass, and shorts on the bottom!  Congrats Ahmed!

Laure Kczekotowska

After some delay and some waiting we had to go through, Laure Kczekotowska started her collection, with very diverse pieces that combined many trends and had the Glam Rock touch. A knee high white dress starred the collection lots of tutu on the ends of the dress and all with white lace, and black satin as straps, Laure's collection also had silver and black leggings, lots of black dresses with either lace, leather or sequins, very rock and Roll, very Goth like, the colors were black, white and silver, the hair was silky, some had bangs and the makeup accentuated with the red/orange matt lipstick, Chic!

Chouchic Design

Chouchic Design is the union of Rita Bentanjaneh and Carine Massoud, two  different styles united to give birth to an  accessories brand.

The music started as usual to prepare for the models to come, it was a very Mille et Une Nuit ambiance, the collection featured necklaces, earrings, bracelets, hair accessories, belts and scarves for both Men and Women.

The first model was a male model who was wearing a white outfit emphasizing the Keffiyeh he was wearing on his shoulders it was green and gray and it had peace signs, the other models wore statement earrings that had the "Allah" sign on them with a matching necklace, the female scarves were Keffiyeh as well with different colors and broidered neon flowers on them, the peace sign and pink hearts and a Mashallah writing, a sweet Peace and Love message. The motifs of the jewelry were juggling between the bad eye sign, hand of Fatima, and butterflies on the neck, waist and hair, the colors used were coral, lapis, green and other shades of blue using mainly golden chains.  Congrats Chouchic Design for the very chic and inspiring collection!

Soucha  Mlihigue

Soucha M is an Egyptian designer who graduated from the Accademia Della Moda in the early 90's, and we are happy to see him wow us in the Fashion Week in Tunis. Soucha's collection consisted mainly of evening gowns. Lights off, music playing one of the movie Nine's songs and we see through the dim lights a mise en scène:  many chairs put randomly on the back of the runway, the model Salima Ben Mrad comes out wearing a similar Cabaret musical costume in red and black and a petite hat, she sat on the chair and performed some moves a la Cabaret, the crowd applauds, we love it! The models come one after another, they walked on the side of the runway wearing long gowns, Spanish Flamenco inspired in red, black and dark blue, hats made of tulle took us back to the very Italian Glamour creating THE Drama Factor.

All the dresses made a statement with its every detail, the lace, the tulle, the zipper on the evening gowns which is normally seen in pants and leather jackets and not with glamorous gowns like Soucha's, a zebra blazer made out of sequins was very attractive, the red jumpsuit that was worn with a Tuareg , quite unexpected but pretty wowing, the shimmery fabrics and of course the dramatic hats !

There was a model who played with the camera performing Pin up moves à la Monroe whose gowns were what I call a black widow like, making black look so unboring !

The makeup was a smoky black eye makeup and black thick eyebrows Italian inspired and the hair tied up and accessorized. At the end a wave of male models came all bare feet and in black wearing jewelry, jumpsuits that looked like a Jelaba, necklaces and one of them had a black tulle veil and black pearly necklace that deserved an infinite applause from the crowd. The show ended with the male models sitting on the chairs and Salima Ben Mrad saying goodbye à la Cabaret! Soucha, MEF is congratulating you for the amazing show and collection!
