Amina Allam, You probably heard of this name before . Well It's the Morrocan Beauty who won Mission Fashion 2007 ! 

She has now her own Agency based in Casablanca, and who's better than a 10 years experienced Model to "Beauty & Style" guide you, give you the right tips and advice to have the right Image !

MEF had the pleasure to interview this brilliant Middle Eastern woman, an interview wich will make you like her outer and inner beauty !

Hello Amina ! Would you introduce yourself to MEF readers ? 

I’m Amina Allam, Fashion Manager of Look By Amina Allam. I’m half Moroccan half Finnish. I’m 25 years old and currently live in Casablanca. I have been modelling for the past 10 years both in Morocco and abroad. I worked in Paris with two agencies and also in Beirut after winning Mission Fashion 2007. During my modelling career, I took two breaks to study cosmetics, styling and make-up. I obtained a diploma from the Interdec College in Montreal.

 Tell us more about your Image consulting agency « Look By Amina Allam », and what made you create it ?

I had the idea to open my agency since 2008, because I wanted to continue my professional career after modelling in the fashion industry. I’m a real fashion addict and have been fascinated by fashion and beauty since very little. My passion initially pushed me to modelling and will hopefully allow me to continue in this world of beauty that I adore.

How does your job influence your life ? Do you feel that you see things around you differently for example?

I have always been extremely sensitive to beautiful things and love beeing surrounded by them. I would rather say that my life influences my work, because I’m permanently looking for new ideas whether related to style or beauty. This is the reason why I wanted to share my vision with my clients. I also love the human contact, because meeting new people from different horizons makes life so much richer. It allows me to learn from others.

Where do you draw your inspiration from ?

Basically from everything around me ! I love reading fashion magazines and surfing on fashion and beauty related web pages for new ideas. I also watch people whenever I go out to get new ideas.

How do you intend women and men to feel after getting beauty & style services from Look by Amina Allam ?

 My basic objective is to reveal the beauty of each of my clients and help them to identify their personal style and to gain in self-confidence.

Amina Allam is a multi-talented Middle Eastern Woman, a model and an image consultant. How do you manage to keep a balance between your two professions ?

This is absolutely no problem. My two jobs fit together perfectly. I continue modelling only occasionally when the proposed job really interests me. For the rest of my time, I work for my agency.

How would you describe your personal style ?

It depends on how I feel when I wake up in the morning J Sometimes I have a rather sporty look, sometimes more classic.  It depends on my daily program, of course. What I really prefer is to give a final touch to my look by using high quality fashion accessories. I’m a big accessory fan, because accessories can change the look of an outfit to make it casual or chic.

Do you follow any strict diet to stay in shape ?

Not really – only rarely ! I love good food and eating out – I would never have been able to be one of these extremely skinny models we can see today on the international catwalks.

Will you continue pursuing your modeling career ?

As I already mentioned earlier, I plan to continue modelling only occasionally.

How do you see Fashion in Middle east ? Do you think fashion is getting the attention needed in the middle east?

There are several very talented fashion designers in the Middle East and many of them have been able to build an international career which makes me very proud of them. I think that fashion is starting to find its place in the Middle East, but there is still a lot to do and I hope to be part of this evolution !

Can you tell MEF about your future projects ?

Besides opening my style agency and its web site (www.lookbyaminaallam.com), I have recently launched my own Fashion and Beauty blog HERE . So far, it has received the warmest welcome and I’m very happy for it. I have also opened  Facebook and Twitter pages for the agency. I hope to develop my activities outside of Morocco to other Maghreb countries and also in the Middle East.

What advice would you give for aspiring Middle Eastern Models and Image consultants looking to get into the Fashion Industry ?

As an advice to future models, I’d like to tell them that being yourself is the most important thing. Being a model is a very exciting and enriching job but it’s not easy and one must be prepared to a lot of criticism. A lot of self-confidence is needed. As for potential image consultants, if you like the human contact and have a strong experience in the fashion industry together with good taste and plenty of new ideas, the job is for you.

In Casablanca, but I’m free to travel elsewhere for work.

« Beauty Is You ! » is the slogan of Look By Amina Allam. I believe that there is beauty in each one of us and my job is to help my clients to reveal their beauty by helping them find their own style based on their morphology and typology.
